The ultra wide-angle lens for professionals.

A special perspective

Covering a breathtaking 114° field of view, the EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM goes beyond human perspective. Ideal for capturing small interiors, large subjects at close distances or dramatic landscapes, this highly expressive lens can also be used to create a strong sense of separation between close subjects and background.

L-series construction

Like all L-series lenses, the EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM combines precision optics with unsurpassed build quality, reliability and ease of use. Dust and moisture seals offer advanced protection from the elements, even in harsh weather conditions.

Large f/2.8 aperture

A maximum aperture of f/2.8 allows for fast, flash-free shooting in low light settings, plus good depth of field control.

Aspherical and UD elements

For optimum visual performance, the lens incorporates two types of special elements: aspherical elements to correct spherical aberrations, and Super UD (ultra-low dispersion) elements to eliminate secondary chromatic aberrations. The result is crisp, high contrast and undistorted image quality all the way to the frame peripheries.

Ring USM auto focus with manual override

Canon’s ring USM auto focus system employs ultra-sonic frequency vibrations for fast, accurate and virtually silent operation with excellent holding torque. Full-time manual focus override, via a large ring that does not rotate during auto focus, allows photographers to begin fine-tuning a shot instantly.

Super Spectra coating

Super Spectra coatings help ensure accurate colour balance and high contrast, and suppress flare and ghosting by absorbing light that might be reflected off internal lens elements and digital EOS sensors.

Circular aperture

A circular aperture delivers smooth, even-looking bokeh (background blur) - ideal for isolating subjects at large aperture, or compelling portraiture.

Accessories

The EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM features an integrated petal hood to protect the front lens element, improve contrast and prevent vignetting. A lens cap and soft case are supplied.
